A new route announced for May 2026 between Boston and Nice
On Wednesday, August 27, Delta Air Lines announced the launch of a new nonstop service between Boston (Logan International Airport) and Nice (Nice Côte d’Azur Airport) beginning May 17, 2026. The route will be operated three times a week—on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays—using an Airbus A330-900neo aircraft.
The announcement is part of an update to the airline’s summer 2026 schedule, which also includes increased frequencies on routes to Milan and Barcelona, along with a new route to Madrid.
The new Boston–Nice route brings to seven the number of nonstop connections between Nice Côte d’Azur Airport and the United States, including flights to Washington, Atlanta, New York, and Philadelphia.
The new service to Nice will be operated with an Airbus A330-900neo, a state-of-the-art long-haul aircraft configured to offer multiple service classes. The flight will be part of Delta’s transatlantic program out of Boston.
Strengthening of the international network from Nice
This announcement is part of a growth dynamic at the Nice hub. In 2024, the airport recorded 14.8 million passengers, surpassing 2019 levels.
Since early 2025, several airlines have announced new long-haul or regional routes from Nice:
- Air Canada has resumed its seasonal service to Montreal,
- United Airlines has launched a nonstop route to Washington Dulles,
- Air Corsica offers a regular flight to Florence,
- Animawings serves Bucharest,
- easyJet has announced multiple new routes, including Hurghada, Düsseldorf, Santorini, Lamezia Terme, and Newcastle,
- Chalair operates a seasonal route to Brive-la-Gaillarde.
The Nice platform is thus concentrating an increasing share of intercontinental and European traffic from southern France, supporting both economic flows and tourism.
