easyJet launches a direct route between Nice and Düsseldorf in June 2025
Since June 24, 2025, easyJet has been operating a new direct connection between Nice Côte d’Azur Airport and Düsseldorf, the capital of North Rhine-Westphalia in Germany.
This launch confirms the airline’s strategy to strengthen its European network from Nice.
With four weekly flights — on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays — this new route aims to enhance access between the Côte d’Azur and Germany, facilitating both tourism and business exchanges.
Enhanced regional connectivity and competitive pricing
easyJet, the leading operator in Nice with a 31.7% market share in 2023, is expanding its offer to new European destinations.
The new Düsseldorf route is in addition to the winter 2024/2025 openings to Madrid, Lanzarote, Strasbourg, and Rovaniemi, underlining easyJet’s ambition to provide affordable options for international travel.
With an attractive entry fare, the low-cost carrier’s initiative is expected to meet the needs of a diverse clientele, from business travellers to holidaymakers seeking affordable short breaks.

Since its beginnings in Nice in 1996, easyJet has established its role in regional connectivity, now operating nearly 50 routes and transporting 4.6 million passengers in 2023.

This opening is part of a broader expansion dynamic, which also includes two new routes to Lamezia Terme (Italy) and Santorini (Greece), inaugurated at the end of June.
