The Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolis is launching a new Call for Projects dedicated to the video game sector as part of the development of Cultural and Creative Industries (CCI).
The main goal of this call is to select innovative initiatives which, when combined, will create a usage laboratory for a thriving video game ecosystem in the region.
This project involves the active participation of companies, universities, research structures, specialized schools, and economic development organizations.

The selected projects will benefit from financial support ranging from 30,000 to 60,000 euros and must be finalized and deployed within 24 months following their selection.
This call for projects offers players in the video game sector a unique opportunity to demonstrate their expertise, stimulate innovation, and contribute to the renown of the Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolis in the field of Cultural and Creative Industries.

Grande Fabrique de l’Image
On May 19, 2023, the Minister of Culture announced that the Victorine Studios and the ISART Digital school in Nice were selected as winners of the “La Grande Fabrique de l’Image” project call.
This program, which is part of the France 2030 investment plan, is endowed with 350 million euros and aims to modernize French production infrastructure to meet an expected increase in the number of productions and shootings, linked to the obligations imposed on foreign platforms to finance French audio-visual creation.
The state’s ambition is to make France the European leader in the film and audio-visual industries by encouraging the development of studios, training, and innovative technologies in image creation.
The renewal project of the Victorine Studios perfectly meets the CNC criteria, proposing to develop a complete image ecosystem, centered on productions and shootings, training, and the hosting of companies.
The ISART Digital school in Nice, recognized for its expertise in training for digital and image professions, will also benefit from this support.
The Victorine Studios and the ISART Digital school play a major role in the French film and audiovisual landscape, attracting numerous production teams from around the world each year. The announcement of these investments confirms the growing importance of the Côte d’Azur as a key player in the image industry in France and beyond.
The recognized training programs of Université Côte d’Azur.
Université Côte d’Azur stands out for its innovative training in the creative and cultural industries sector. In 2022, it introduced the Bachelor’s degree in Arts and Image, a three-year degree program for students interested in audiovisual professions, with a particular emphasis on the production of innovative and immersive images, including 360 reality. This bachelor’s degree is characterized by a multidisciplinary and professionalizing pedagogical approach.
Furthermore, the university offers the University Diploma “Direction and Financial Control of Audio-visual Production”, a unique program in France that focuses on the financial and administrative management of film and audio-visual productions.
The Université Côte d’Azur, in collaboration with the University of Avignon, has obtained the “Campus of Trades and Qualifications of Cultural and Creative Industries” label awarded by the Ministry of National Education, Youth, and Sports. Their mission is to connect existing training programs in the secondary and higher education sector, and to develop new trainings adapted to the needs of businesses.
In addition, the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) has labeled a new innovation and knowledge community: EIT Culture and Creativity, of which Université Côte d’Azur is a partner. It has led the project to create the MIN4CI Foundation, in collaboration with Aix-Marseille University, Avignon University, and the Sud Region. This foundation aims to build a sustainable ecosystem for the European cultural and creative industries sectors.
