The OcéaNice Convention Center, through the company Spada, was recognized for its functional and environmental performance. 94% of the materials used are reusable or recyclable. Over 170 events are already scheduled through to 2029.
The Parking des Arts, an integral part of the Promenade du Paillon extension, combines parking infrastructure with readiness for the rise of electromobility. It also includes dedicated areas for two-wheelers and bicycles.
Both projects were honored during the Salon des Communes et Intercommunalités des Alpes-Maritimes. The awards were presented by the Alpes-Maritimes Federation of Building and Public Works (Fédération du BTP des Alpes-Maritimes).
On the occasion of the 8th Salon des Communes et Intercommunalités des Alpes-Maritimes, held on Thursday, October 9, 2025, in Grasse, two “BTP d’Avenir 06” awards were granted by the Alpes-Maritimes Federation of Building and Public Works to two major metropolitan projects.
These awards recognize two key achievements: the OcéaNice Convention Center, via the Spada company, and the Parking des Arts, as part of the Promenade du Paillon extension.
OcéaNice, a next-generation convention center, offers 10,600 m² of modular spaces, a 4,000 m² hall, and a panoramic rooftop overlooking the Mediterranean.
For 2026, 70 reservation requests have been recorded, with over 30 already confirmed—including three U.S.-based organizers who had never previously chosen Nice as a destination.
Between 2026 and 2029, more than 170 national and international events are already planned. These are expected to generate over 10,300 overnight stays and nearly €10 million in direct economic impact for the metropolitan area.
94% of the materials used are reusable or recyclable, in line with the area’s recognition as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The venue is also aiming for ISO 20121 certification, the international standard for sustainable event management.
Located within the major development project Promenade du Paillon – Season 2, the Parking des Arts includes nearly 300 parking spaces, including 65 for motorized two-wheelers and 30 for bicycles. It is also equipped with electric pre-installation to anticipate the growth of zero-emission vehicles.
Created in 2022 by the Alpes-Maritimes Federation of Building and Public Works, with the support of the Association of Mayors of the Alpes-Maritimes (Association des Maires 06), the BTP d’Avenir 06 Awards highlight construction projects that contribute to regional economic development.
