
Banque Populaire Méditerranée (BPMed) is set to modernize its headquarters located in the Arénas business district in Nice. The renovation work will begin in January 2026. The 24,000 m² building will eventually accommodate both bank employees and businesses.
The west wing will be dedicated to the bank’s 300 employees, offering fully redesigned workspaces. The east wing will offer 3,700 m² of office space for rent starting in the second quarter of 2026. The site enjoys a strategic location, close to the airport and major transport infrastructure.
The project includes a triple environmental certification: BREEAM, HQE, and WELL. Local companies will be engaged in the construction process, reinforcing the project’s regional integration.
The architectural competition closed on October 17, 2025. The winning design will be announced in early 2026. Design studies will begin in the first quarter.
A Dual-Purpose Real Estate Project
In a press release dated October 3, 2025, and relayed by Les Petites Affiches des Alpes-Maritimes, Banque Populaire Méditerranée announced the upcoming renovation of its headquarters at 457 Promenade des Anglais, in the Arénas business district of Nice. Originally built in 1989, the building will be modernized to meet new commercial real estate standards and offer high-value rental office space.
The west wing will host BPMed’s 300 employees in redesigned, modern work environments. From Q2 2026, the east wing will provide 3,700 m² of office space available for lease. With its prime location next to Nice Côte d’Azur Airport and major transport links, the site offers strong commercial potential.
A Sustainable and Locally Rooted Approach
BPMed has embedded this transformation within a sustainable development strategy. The renovation aims to achieve three major certifications: BREEAM, HQE, and WELL. The project will rely on the expertise of local contractors and service providers, reinforcing its connection to the regional economy.
