Starting May 6, 2024, American Airlines will operate a daily direct flight between Philadelphia and Nice.
American Airlines continues to expand its global network, and summer 2024 will mark its largest expansion in Europe in four years, with the addition of three new European cities including Nice for France.
Nice, a true international gateway to the French Riviera, is designated as one of the main destinations. Starting May 6, 2024, a daily non-stop flight will connect Philadelphia (PHL) to Nice (NCE) aboard a Boeing 787-9. This new route offers new opportunities for American travelers wishing to discover or invest in Côte d’Azur.
Tickets will be available for purchase starting August 20th on the aa.com website or through the American Airlines mobile app.
The Philadelphia-Nice connection presents a strong economic and tourist opportunity. It will facilitate exchanges for entrepreneurs and business travelers. The tourism sector can expect an increase in the number of visitors from the United States. Philadelphia thus emerges as a strategic hub, connecting over 200 unique destinations in the United States to Europe.
In 2023, Nice Airport offered a total of 111 destinations to 42 countries, including a record number of 10 long-haul flights, 6 of which were to North America.
During the summer season, Nice is connected to Montreal through Air Canada and Air Transat, with 5 to 7 flights weekly, as well as to New York with up to 3 daily flights operated by United Airlines, Delta Airlines, and La Compagnie. Delta Airlines also offers a daily direct flight to its Atlanta hub, from May to September, providing a new connection point between the French Riviera and North and Latin America.
