Transavia, the French low-cost airline, has recently announced the opening of a new route linking Nice to Dakar, the capital of Senegal. This new connection will be operational during the winter season 2024-2025, thus strengthening Transavia’s presence in the territory.
From October 27, 2024, until March 23, 2025, a weekly flight will be offered, with a departure from Nice on Sundays at 8:15 a.m. and a return from Dakar on Saturdays at 1:15 p.m., local time. Tickets for this new destination are already on sale, with prices starting at 109 euros one-way from Nice.
This new route is part of Transavia’s strategy to strengthen its presence in the French regions. In addition to Dakar, Transavia already operates from Nice to Beirut, Faro, Eindhoven, Amsterdam, Monastir, and Tunis.
For summer 2024, Nice Côte d’Azur Airport has strengthened its network with 122 destinations, including 13 long-haul flights and 20 new routes. Among the novelties are Agadir, Aalborg, and Abu Dhabi. This expansion illustrates the airport’s ambition to position itself as a major international hub while meeting the mobility needs of business and leisure travelers.
