- Established in Nice since 2024, Circum Medtech Pharma will inaugurate its new plant in Sousse (Tunisia) on October 2, 2025. This new site structures its presence between Nice, Zurich and Sousse, within a Euro-Mediterranean value chain.
- Based in Nice, in the Grand Arénas district, with a first plant in Tunisia and an office in Zurich, the company combines expertise, responsiveness and a European vision. The Nice headquarters brings together operational and strategic functions, while Zurich manages commercial relations in Central Europe.
- Team Nice Côte d’Azur will take part in the inauguration as an institutional partner. This participation is part of a targeted economic cooperation strategy with Tunisia, launched in 2023 by Team Nice Côte d’Azur through several joint initiatives.
Nice, operational headquarters and strategic coordination center
The Nice team includes around fifteen people and concentrates R&D, industrialization, quality, regulatory affairs, supply chain, and general management. Its immediate proximity to Nice Côte d’Azur Airport facilitates exchanges with Swiss and German clients, as well as logistical operations with the Tunisian site.
The choice of Nice is also based on a favorable environment for MedTech, with university hospitals, public laboratories, competitiveness clusters and collaborative health-tech projects. This positioning makes Nice Côte d’Azur a strategic lever for the company’s growth.
Sousse, an industrial tool serving agility
The opening of the new industrial site in Sousse, scheduled for October 2, 2025, marks a new stage in the industrialization of medical devices designed in Nice.
The new site covers 4,000 m² and aims to employ 200 staff within three years. Activities include plastic injection, extrusion, manual and semi-automated assembly, packaging, sterilization, and an ISO 7 clean room.
Its bonded status and location just 10 minutes from the airport allow smooth circulation towards France and European logistics hubs. The model is designed to meet the growing demand for single-use devices with enhanced flexibility.
Strong economic relations between Tunisia and Nice Côte d’Azur
Team Nice Côte d’Azur, the metropolitan agency for economic promotion and attractiveness, will be represented at the October 2 inauguration by Sana Bouyahia, Head of Project Development – Health & Sports, who has been supporting the company since its establishment.
This participation is part of a broader effort to strengthen economic ties between the two regions, initiated as early as 2023.
Tunisia is among the partner countries identified by the agency.
This strategy was consolidated through the signing of an agreement with Novation City at VivaTech 2024, cross-missions (Tunisia Tech Tour, delegation visits to Nice Côte d’Azur), and the establishment on the Côte d’Azur of several Tunisian companies: Medpackinter, Nextstep Europe, Liberty Com System.
Circum Medtech Pharma’s expansion fits into this context of convergence between Mediterranean regions around health, technology and industrial innovation.
