From June 11 to 14, 2025, Paris will host Viva Technology, Europe’s largest trade fair dedicated to technological innovation. With over 165,000 visitors expected, the event brings together startups, investors, policymakers, and major corporations to showcase tomorrow’s technologies.
The Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolis will be represented at the Sud Region stand (Hall 1 – Stand B30), alongside 36 regional startups selected by the Sud Region and risingSUD.
Objective: to highlight its innovation ecosystem and economic assets to an international audience.
A delegation focused on the territory’s strategic sectors
Team Nice Côte d’Azur, the economic promotion and attractiveness agency of the Metropolis, will attend the three business days of the trade fair, from June 11 to 13. The team – composed of Sana Bouyahia, Axelle Xerri, and Jean-François Chapperon – will promote the territory to project leaders, investors, and both public and private partners.
This presence is aligned with the economic development strategy of the Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolis, built around strategic sectors:

Highlight of June 12: launch of the Business Landing Nice Côte d’Azur 2025 program

Among the 36 regional companies selected, seven startups from the Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolis will take part in VivaTech 2025:

- Asterfox – AI app for personalized wine cellar management
- DataGreen – Eco-friendly micro data centers that reuse waste heat
- Earthwake – Technology converting plastic waste into fuel via pyrolysis
- Plouf – Patented floating swimwear for water safety
- OviBar – Smart minibar for filtered water distribution
- Quehora – AI app optimizing tourist flows to avoid overcrowding
These companies embody the vibrancy of the local ecosystem at the intersection of tech innovation, sustainable economy, and territorial impact.
Strategic sectors: a structured and forward-looking ecosystem
Health
The Metropolis positions itself as a hub of excellence in digital health and biotech, with major initiatives (REBONE, RespirERA), a strong academic network, and a pool of cutting-edge startups (ExAdEx-Innov, Roca Therapeutics, etc.).
Cultural and creative industries
Nice is developing a robust creative industry around the Victorine Studios, the arrival of ISART Digital, and projects in gaming and immersive media, with a strong focus on education and audiovisual production.
Blue economy
In June 2025, Nice Côte d’Azur will be at the heart of the global maritime agenda with two major events:
- The Nice Ocean Business Forum (June 9–11), an economic forum focused on blue economy innovation and investment
- The UN Ocean Conference (UNOC), bringing together states and global actors for ocean protection
Natural products and dietary supplements
