Could you introduce Legal Design Agency? What makes you unique and who is your offer for?
Legal Design Agency is a LegalTech established in Nice in 2025. In building this innovative company in the legal field, my background as a business lawyer has helped shape my vision and apply my high standards of rigor.
Our work consists of transforming dense, complex legal documents — commercial contracts, terms and conditions of sale/use, GDPR and compliance policies, shareholders’ agreements, bylaws — into clear, visual, user-focused deliverables, understandable by non-lawyers and aligned with brand identity.
What sets us apart is the method: we combine law, graphic design, and user experience.
We start from the client’s real needs, we structure the information, and we turn into visual format everything that can be, without sacrificing legal rigor and compliance.
The result: faster decisions, fewer post-signature frictions, much better internal adoption, and facilitation tools to better understand the law and make it an asset in decision-making.
Our offer is initially aimed at startups and scale-ups that need to move fast without losing compliance, but also at SMEs/mid-caps and corporate legal departments.
We work both on transforming existing documents and on bespoke creation, each preceded by an audit to map obligations and potential bottlenecks.
We already train legal professionals in the method and, very soon, young entrepreneurs.
Why did you choose Nice Côte d’Azur as your location?
It’s a rational location choice, dictated by the market. Nice concentrates sectors where regulation structures value creation: health/biotech, sport/fittech, digital/deeptech, luxury, real estate.
In these ecosystems, legal clarity is not a “plus”, it’s a competitive advantage.
The proximity of Monaco and Italy, the connectivity of Nice Côte d’Azur airport, and the presence of foreign investors push the region toward the international stage; this requires comparable, multilingual, and educational documents — which is exactly our field of expertise.
There is also here a strong culture of design and aesthetics, including in B2B, which facilitates the adoption of visual legal tools.
Compared to Paris, more saturated and more expensive, Nice offers an excellent cost–opportunity ratio, faster market access, and — it must be said — a first-mover advantage for a legal design agency.
What are your development projects in the region?
Three structuring projects are on the agenda.
First, the creation in Nice of a Legal Design & AI hub in partnership with local startups, to develop intelligent tools for document simplification, visualization, and automation. The goal is to standardize quality while improving clarity for users and reducing validation cycles.
Second, a white-label offer for law firms and corporate legal departments that want to modernize their deliverables without starting from scratch, while respecting their brand guidelines.
Finally, the expansion of our training activities to student-entrepreneurs and young founders from the region’s schools and universities, to integrate legal strategy as a lever from the ideation stage.
On the organizational side, we are structuring a dual design/legal unit and aiming for a small team of four within three years to maintain agility.
What role did Team Nice Côte d’Azur play in this location choice?
A role as connector and catalyst. Team Nice Côte d’Azur enabled us to quickly understand the specifics of the territory and choose Nice: mapping key sectors, arranging qualified meetings with startups, research centers, and corporates, and immersing us in relevant events in health, sport, and tech.
The support of Sana Bouyahia allowed us to accelerate our positioning. Thanks to this exposure, we expanded our target beyond legal professionals to directly address innovative players in regulated sectors, where the impact of legal design is immediate: more transparent terms and conditions, compliance policies truly adopted by teams, and shareholders’ agreements better understood before fundraising.
In short, Team Nice Côte d’Azur allowed us to open te right doors at the right time. This secured our choice to set up in Nice and shortened our time-to-market on the Côte d’Azur.
