- risingSUD and Team Nice Côte d’Azur are co-organizing a Cinema Tour on May 13, 2026, alongside the Cannes Film Festival. The event offers a full day of immersion in the Côte d’Azur’s film and audiovisual industry for production companies.
- The program features three key highlights: a visit to Bastide Rouge in Cannes, a center of excellence for the creative economy; a networking lunch and presentation of the region’s Cultural and Creative Industries (CCI) ecosystem in Nice; and a visit to the Victorine Studios. The aim is to give international professionals first-hand insight into the region’s infrastructure and industry players.
- The Sud Region has the largest capacity of studios and sound stages in France, with 30 hectares dedicated to film production. The sector generates €133 million in economic impact, €4 billion in annual revenue, nearly 7,000 filming days per year, and around 49,000 direct jobs.
- This initiative is part of Team Nice Côte d’Azur’s strategy to promote the CCI sector. The agency has notably led a mission to Cinecittà in Rome in November 2024, taken part in Game Camp France in June 2025, and continues to support the international visibility of the local creative ecosystem.
A full-day immersion between Cannes and Nice
The Cinema Tour on May 13, 2026, co-organized by risingSUD and Team Nice Côte d’Azur, offers international decision-makers in the film and audiovisual sector a full day of immersion in the South of France’s creative ecosystem, at the heart of the Cannes Film Festival.
The morning will begin in Cannes with a visit to Bastide Rouge, a center of excellence dedicated to the creative economy and image-related professions. At midday, a networking lunch in Nice will be followed by a presentation of the local Cultural and Creative Industries ecosystem.
The afternoon will continue at the Victorine Studios, where some of the most iconic French and international productions have been filmed. The site, operated by Victorine Studios (CCI Nice Côte d’Azur / Color), is undergoing a €37 million modernization program aimed at developing a fully integrated complex combining sound stages, offices, and a training campus.
Axelle Xerri, Head of Project Development for CCI & Tourism at Team Nice Côte d’Azur, will represent the agency during the day. She has been driving the international promotion of the sector for several years through targeted missions with European studios and major industry events.
The Nice Côte d’Azur area recorded 551 audiovisual projects and 1,604 filming days in 2023, including nearly 600 days on public spaces in Nice—an 82% increase compared to the previous year. The arrival of ISART Digital in 2023, with an eco-campus and business incubator expected in 2026, along with the hosting of EVO France, further strengthens the region’s position across the entire creative industries value chain.
