From July 2023, André Mathieu, who has been appointed as the Director of the new Global Industrial Operations, Supply Chain, and Sourcing division at Virbac since January 2, 2023, will join the Virbac group’s executive committee.
In a context of market and client consolidation, Virbac has decided to evolve its organization and best prepare the company for the requirements and risks of tomorrow.
Therefore, the industrial and quality functions have been separated to create two new divisions: the Quality and Compliance division, led by Marc Bistuer , and the Industrial Operations, Supply Chain, and Sourcing division for the world, headed by André Mathieu since the beginning of the year.
In this role, in addition to overseeing global pharmaceutical, biological, hygiene, and nutrition production activities, André Mathieu supervises the Corporate Supply Chain and Corporate Sourcing departments to drive Virbac’s competitiveness efforts forward. He is also entrusted with the responsibility of change management and training in the industrial and quality areas.
André Mathieu will be under the direct supervision of Sébastien Huron, CEO of the Virbac group, and will serve on the Group’s executive committee starting from July 1, 2023.

Prior to joining Virbac, André Mathieu, a graduate engineer from the Centrale/Supélec school, spent the majority of his career at the Danone group. There, he led various corporate-level transformation projects before transitioning to the role of Director of Supply Chain for France and Southern Europe within the Medical Nutrition division. He then served as Director of Operations for the Americas, based in Sao Paulo, Brazil, still within the Medical Nutrition division. Subsequently, André held the position of Global Product Sourcing and Innovations Director for the Early Life Nutrition division, establishing himself in Amsterdam. He then led the operations of the Specialized Nutrition range for the Americas region, as well as the supply chain for Asia, the Middle East, and CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States), still based in Amsterdam.
