Université Côte d’Azur: 60 years of knowledge to imagine together 60 years of innovation
On 5 November at IMREDD, Université Côte d’Azur celebrated its 60th anniversary during the “Soirée Privilège” organised with the Université Côte d’Azur Foundation, in the presence of its President, Mr Jeanick Brisswalter.
The event brought together more than 200 economic, institutional and academic decision-makers, reflecting the growing recognition of the University as a structuring player in the regional ecosystem.
Hervé LAUBERTIE, Managing Director of Team Nice Côte d’Azur, took part, alongside many representatives involved in the economic development of the Côte d’Azur.
This gathering highlighted a strong dynamic: innovation conceived as a lever for territorial transformation, structured around key sectors and driven by close collaboration between research, businesses and local authorities.
Université Côte d’Azur is establishing itself as an economic player in its own right, capable of initiating and accelerating high-impact projects in strategic areas: sustainable health, artificial intelligence, innovative materials, cultural and creative industries, flavours and fragrances, territorial intelligence and resilience.
These themes reflect a clear strategy, aligned with regional, national and European priorities. They foster the emergence of concrete partnerships and create the conditions for sustainable, competitive development rooted in local specificities.
By fully integrating applied research into economic development strategies, the University strengthens value chains, supports the transition of sectors, and contributes to the attractiveness of the region. It embodies an open, agile partnership model, resolutely oriented towards the future.
The Côte d’Azur is thus positioning itself as an innovation-driven region, committed to major transitions and providing concrete solutions at both local and international levels.
