Stefano Cimmarusti, Head of International Development at Team Nice Côte d’Azur, represented the agency at the EU-Startups Summit 2025, held on April 24 and 25 in Malta.
This major European innovation event brings together over 2,000 participants each year, including high-potential startups, investors, major corporations, and leading regional ecosystems.
The summit served as a strategic showcase to explore major trends in European entrepreneurship, identify collaboration opportunities, and highlight the most dynamic regions in terms of innovation.
A dynamic hub for startups
Team Nice Côte d’Azur’s participation reflected the growing recognition of the region as a tech hub with European reach. This momentum is driven by strengthened cooperation between public, academic, and private stakeholders – notably French Tech Côte d’Azur, Université Côte d’Azur, IMREDD, and locally established innovation and support structures.
In recent years, the region has seen the emergence and growth of numerous innovative startups, including Circum Medtech Pharma, Legapass, Envoi du Net, Inalve, Sezame, Akidaia, Qualisteo, DataGreen, AlgenScribe, as well as BKube, Earthwake Enterprise, Livmed’s, and ExAdEx-Innov.
