An economic forum rooted in the ocean economy
On the occasion of the third United Nations Ocean Conference (UNOC-3), to be held in Nice from June 9 to 13, 2025, the Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolis, in partnership with the Région Sud, Rising Sud, Team Nice Côte d’Azur, and the Pôle Mer Méditerranée, is organizing the Nice Ocean Business Forum.
Scheduled from June 9 to 11, 2025, this event aims to create a structured economic meeting space focused on the blue economy, with over 300 participants expected, including companies, institutions, international delegations, experts, and key decision-makers.
A call for projects to showcase sustainable solutions and innovations
The call for applications targets companies based in the Sud region that are active in the blue economy and/or offer an innovative project in the marine and maritime sectors. To be eligible, projects must demonstrate sectoral relevance, maturity of the proposed innovations in the areas listed below, market potential, and environmental impact.
Relevant fields:
- Marine biotechnologies and sustainable aquaculture;
- Marine renewable energies (tidal, wave energy, etc.);
- Artificial intelligence applied to the maritime sector;
- Marine environmental protection (reducing ecological impact, sustainable management of marine resources, coastal zone protection, etc.);
- Sustainable management of port infrastructure;
- Navigation technology and automation (marine drones, smart navigation, etc.);
- Maritime transport and logistics solutions (carbon footprint reduction, alternative propulsion systems, etc.).
Selected companies will have access to a dedicated exhibition space during the three days of the forum, pitch sessions, thematic workshops and roundtables, as well as a program of qualified meetings with national and international economic stakeholders. Enhanced visibility will also be provided through media coverage and the event’s communication channels.

By integrating the Nice Ocean Business Forum into UNOC-3, the Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolis aligns its economic and environmental priorities.
