Laboratoires Activa among the 12 companies selected by Bpifrance
Laboratoires Activa are joining the fourth cohort of the Health Industries and Technologies Accelerator (ITS), announced on 5 November 2025 by Bpifrance. The company based in Carros is the only representative of the Sud region to join this national programme, which brings together twelve growing French SMEs in the healthcare sector. The initiative, conducted in partnership with the National Industry Council, aims to provide long-term structuring for innovative players by supporting them in their strategic transformation.
Laboratoires Activa, an expert in natural cellular well-being solutions
Laboratoires Activa design endocellular solutions aimed at nourishing and regulating the body with precision. The products developed are based on 100% natural, biocompatible and bioavailable active ingredients, formulated sequentially to promote synergies between components. The company uses a proprietary technology of gastro-protected microgranules, enabling progressive and targeted release of active ingredients. This approach ensures controlled effectiveness, in line with the body’s biological intelligence.
Structured support to anticipate sector developments
The ITS programme offered by Bpifrance is built around three support levers: individual strategic consulting, six structuring seminars led with KEDGE Business School, and sector-specific thematic days. Companies are invited to build a five-year strategic roadmap, taking into account regulatory, environmental and economic changes. The challenge is to increase their competitiveness while integrating the imperatives of transition, attractiveness and innovation. This programme also brings together a community of entrepreneurs around the French Care initiative, with synergies between successive cohorts.
A growth-driven company profile in a transforming sector
The companies selected share similar economic characteristics: an average size of 19 employees, average annual revenue of €3.5 million, and recent fundraising rounds estimated at an average of €14 million. They operate in various segments of the healthcare sector: biotechnology, medical devices, diagnostics or services. The programme focuses on shared priorities: clarifying strategy, commercial performance, governance, employer brand and ecological transition.

Nice Côte d’Azur, a region certified “Industrial Territory”
The Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolis has been certified as an “Industrial Territory” for the period 2023–2027, as part of the national industrial recovery programme launched by the French State in 2018 and renewed in 2023. This recognition is part of the structuring of local industrial sectors, with a particular emphasis on ecological transition, skills development, talent attraction and land availability.
The certified area notably includes the Carros-Le Broc industrial zone, already engaged in redevelopment and modernisation initiatives during the previous phase of the programme. The scheme is based on multi-level governance (local, regional and national) and provides a set of tools to support industrial companies: support for productive investment, territorial engineering, training, innovation, HR attractiveness, environmental transition and brownfield redevelopment.
This certification strengthens the local economic environment and supports innovation dynamics and industrial reshoring.
