The British low-cost carrier easyJet has announced the launch of a direct service between Nice and Birmingham as of May 1st, 2026. Two flights per week will be operated as part of the airline’s broader European development plan, which continues to strengthen strategic links between France and the United Kingdom.
This new connection further reinforces the growing strategic role of Nice Côte d’Azur Airport within easyJet’s European network. It forms part of a wider announcement made on November 20th, which also includes new routes between Paris-CDG and London Stansted (from March 5th, 2026), as well as Montpellier and Manchester (starting March 30th, 2026).
Strengthening Ties with the UK
With these three new routes, easyJet now operates nearly 50 connections between France and the UK, cementing its position as a key player in air connectivity between the two countries. The airline, now the second-largest operator in France for short- and medium-haul flights, is continuing to grow its offering from high-potential regional and tourist markets.
Tickets are already on sale, with introductory fares from €45 on the Nice–Birmingham route, catering to both tourism and business travel.

This new route adds to a series of recent openings from Nice, including:
- Newcastle (from March 29th, 2026 – three flights per week)
- Düsseldorf, Madrid, Lamezia Terme, and Santorini (launched in 2025)
- Hurghada (Egypt) also launched by easyJet in 2025

- United Airlines to Washington

- Animawings to Bucharest
- Chalair with a seasonal route to Brive-la-Gaillarde
