- easyJet will launch an exclusive route between Nice and Hurghada (Egypt) starting from October 26, 2025, with two flights per week.
- This launch is part of easyJet’s network expansion strategy.
- It complements a series of new routes from Nice, including Düsseldorf, Madrid, Lamezia Terme, and Santorini.
Egypt from and to Nice
The British airline easyJet will open in winter 2025 a new direct route between Nice Côte d’Azur Airport and Hurghada, Egyptian seaside resort on the Red Sea.
From October 26, two weekly flights — on Wednesdays and Sundays — will be operated.
The Nice–Hurghada route announced for winter 2025 illustrates an acceleration of easyJet’s strategy on flows between France and Egypt. In response to obtaining new traffic rights, the airline is opening four additional routes to key Egyptian cities: Hurghada from Bordeaux and Nice, Luxor from Paris-CDG, and Sharm El-Sheikh from Lyon. This expansion brings to eight the total number of routes between the two countries for the winter 2025–2026 season, representing a capacity of 126,000 seats, positioning easyJet as the second operator on this axis.
A continuously expanding network from Nice
The opening of the Nice–Hurghada route comes in a context of network expansion for easyJet from its Nice base. In 2024 and 2025, several new routes have been added:
- Nice–Düsseldorf in June 2025 (4 weekly frequencies),
- Nice–Madrid, Nice–Strasbourg, and Nice–Rovaniemi for winter 2024–2025,
- Nice–Lamezia Terme and Nice–Santorini in summer 2025.
With 31.7% market share and 4.6 million passengers carried in 2023, easyJet consolidates its position at Nice Côte d’Azur Airport. This European and international coverage meets a demand for direct connectivity from the Côte d’Azur towards key markets for tourism, business, and seasonal mobility.
