A structured welcome for American researchers
Université Côte d’Azur is strengthening its commitment to research and academic openness by establishing a specific framework to host American scientists. As part of a proactive research support approach, the university is implementing a series of concrete measures aimed at enabling these scientists to pursue their work.
The initiative builds on the university’s key thematic priorities, notably environmental sciences, artificial intelligence, humanities and social sciences, and health.
Dedicated pathways and mobilized resources
Practically, Université Côte d’Azur is combining nationally available resources with local research excellence support capacities, such as the Initiative of Excellence and the Cluster 3IA Côte d’Azur 2030.
- Launch of a dedicated track within the Advanced Research Program of the Initiative of Excellence, allowing for the hosting of scientists or artists for a period of 6 to 24 months (2 to 4)
- Adaptation of international chairs within the Cluster 3IA Côte d’Azur 2030 (2)
- Creation of the Institute of Advanced Studies at Université Côte d’Azur to host contracted scientists with a start-up package (2 to 4)
- Hosting and stabilizing existing collaborations and accommodating scientists as needed (up to 8)
- For young researchers, opening of a dedicated track within the Young Researchers Excellence Program for two-year renewable funding as part of integration into a site-based team (2)
A Côte d’Azur base to enhance scientific appeal
By structuring this welcome offer, Université Côte d’Azur confirms its position as a leading scientific hub at the European level. This initiative is part of a long-term attractiveness strategy based on research quality, interdisciplinary approaches, and the international outreach of the Côte d’Azur region.
These programs strengthen the university’s ability to attract American researchers within a framework conducive to innovation, knowledge transfer, and the development of sustainable partnerships.
