The Palais des Festivals et des Congrès in Cannes has signed a 5-year deal with Euroexpo, the specialist in international business trade fairs, to host the International Private Equity Market (IPEM) which every year in February will bring together the very top actors from the world of finance and business.
The first IPEM, International Private Equity Market, will bring together almost 4000 partners from 25 countries (Europe, North America, Asia and the Middle East), from 22 to 24 February 2016, at the brand new venue for the Cannes festival.
Over the last 15 years, Private Equity, whereby investments are made by acquiring a shareholding in privately held companies that need equity, has played a major role in supporting investment, growth, entrepreneurship and innovation. With over $365 billion raised in 2013, private equity can be considered as a real industry that needs its marketplace. IPEM will allow its actors – GPs, LPs, banks, advisors and companies to meet in a specialised and powerful environment.
For René Péres, CEO of Europevents: « Private equity deserves a major international event in which everyone involved in the industrial supply chain can take part. Cannes has all the necessary assets to host such an event from services to welcome visitors and qualified personnel to a suitable hotel offer and all the required subcontractors. »
IPEM is the first international event dedicated entirely to private equity. It will provide the Cote d’Azur’s actors with an excellent opportunity for visibility and networking.
