Strengthening the visibility of a creative region
Game Camp France, held on June 19 and 20, 2025, at the Catholic University of Lille, brought together more than 1,600 industry professionals. Represented by Axelle Xerri, ICC project manager, Team Nice Côte d’Azur took part in the June 19 session, invited by ISART DIGITAL Nice.
This participation is part of the Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolis’s attractiveness strategy for cultural and creative industries, and more specifically for video game companies in development.
Targeted support for studios
During the event, Axelle Xerri presented the region’s assets for studios in the growth phase: filming infrastructures (Studios de la Victorine), specialised training (ISART Game Business School, e-artsup), a cross-sector creative ecosystem between audiovisual and digital, and support systems for business establishment.
The territory thus promotes an integrated offer combining operational attractiveness, innovation, and quality of life.
High value-added business sessions
Among the highlights of the day: Toby Adam-Smith (FuturLab) discussed organisational adjustments within a hyper-growth studio; Doriane Claireaux (Focus Entertainment) repositioned QA as a strategic production lever; Ga-Yi NG (Hooded Horse) explored monetisation of editorial niches.
A panel on studio–publisher relations brought together Bridie Roman, Claire Léger, Sitara Shefta, and Eléonore Ronneau. Finally, William Bertin (Sourcing in the Rain) mapped the dynamics of the first-game market.
A consolidated momentum
This participation helped promote the ambition of the region: to structure an integrated creative hub at the intersection of video games, visual media, and innovation.
By combining public policies, educational offerings, business support, and unifying events, Nice Côte d’Azur is establishing itself as a dynamic ICC territory.
Team Nice Côte d’Azur thanks ISART DIGITAL for its invitation and its commitment to the local ecosystem.
