A strategic step for the blue economy stakeholders of the Côte d’Azur
Stefano Cimmarusti, Head of Project Development at Team Nice Côte d’Azur, will take part in the Blue Economy Tour mission in Norway, organised by risingSUD, the Région Sud and their partners, from 2 to 6 June 2025.
The initiative is structured around the Nor-Shipping trade fair in Oslo, a global benchmark for maritime innovation. The programme also includes visits and meetings in Stord and Stavanger, enabling regional businesses and institutions to gain a better understanding of the Norwegian blue economy ecosystem.
Team Nice Côte d’Azur’s participation in this mission marks a structuring milestone in the internationalisation of regional economic cooperation, less than a week before another major event.
On the way to the Nice Ocean Business Forum
The Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolis, in partnership with the Région Sud, risingSUD, Business France, the Pôle Mer Méditerranée, the French Maritime Cluster and Team Nice Côte d’Azur, is organising the Nice Ocean Business Forum, an event dedicated to the blue economy and its innovation potential.
This international business event is part of the 3rd United Nations Ocean Conference (UNOC-3), which Nice will host in 2025.
Team Nice Côte d’Azur will coordinate the day of 9 June, dedicated to economic attractiveness, maritime markets and international cooperation. Panels, keynotes and B2B meetings will foster exchanges between businesses, researchers, territories and investors.
Developing the blue economy
By taking part in the Blue Economy Tour mission, Team Nice Côte d’Azur reaffirms the Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolis’ commitment to the development of an innovative blue economy, a strategic pillar of its economic attractiveness.
Alongside risingSUD and regional stakeholders, this presence strengthens the euro-Mediterranean positioning of the French Riviera ecosystem in emerging maritime markets and technologies.
This approach is part of both the regional dynamic of internationalisation and the metropolitan roadmap, in preparation for the 3rd United Nations Ocean Conference (UNOC-3) and the Nice Ocean Business Forum, which will bring together leading public and private players in maritime innovation.
