Team Nice Côte d’Azur: committed to territorial impact

In 2024, Team Nice Côte d’Azur supported 25 business establishments, generating 274 jobs over three years within the metropolitan area.

In 2025, Team Nice Côte d’Azur is intensifying its efforts to strengthen the metropolitan area’s attractiveness, guided by four strategic priorities:

  • More efficient outreach, targeted to meet the region’s actual needs and its key sectors
  • A reinforced service offering to better support newly established companies
  • Dynamic economic promotion to enhance visibility and consolidate the metropolitan economic identity
  • Enhanced impact assessment, encompassing economic, societal, and environmental dimensions

This strategic foundation will be implemented in 2025 through 40 outreach missions in France and abroad, along with 12 hosting operations and economic events coordinated with Team Nice Côte d’Azur’s partners. The operational programme aims to integrate outreach, visibility, and long-term business support.

One of the major highlights will be the United Nations Ocean Conference (UNOC-3), held in June 2025 in Nice. Team Nice Côte d’Azur, alongside its partners, will seize this opportunity to host international economic delegations and promote local sectors involved in the blue economy, sustainable innovation, and responsible investment—particularly during the opening day of the Nice Ocean Business Forum.

“Creating an environment conducive to development”

Jacques Richier, President of Team Nice Côte d’Azur, emphasizes that territorial attractiveness is a long-term effort, shaped by the alignment of public and private stakeholders:

Jacques Richier,
President of Team Nice Côte d’Azur

“The attractiveness of a region is not solely based on its natural and economic assets. It is also the result of a collective commitment, driven by public and private stakeholders working together to make it a dynamic and welcoming place for businesses. At Team Nice Côte d’Azur, we firmly believe that providing an environment suitable for business development translates to creating wealth, employment, and innovation. This is the reason behind our work alongside economic and institutional decision-makers to strengthen our Métropole’s attractiveness every day. In 2025, we will continue this momentum with determination, supporting investors, promoting our key sectors, and asserting our international strategic position. Nice Côte d’Azur is a land of opportunities, and we are committed to ensuring that it remains so.”

The strategy is based on a precise selection of markets and sectors. Québec, Tunisia, and Italy are at the core of a targeted outreach strategy designed to foster synergies in health, green tech, the blue economy, smart services, and the creative and cultural industries (CCI).

“Nice Côte d’Azur, a Metropolis serving businesses”

Christian Estrosi, President of the Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolis and Mayor of Nice, underlines the structuring role of local public policy in reinforcing the metropolitan economic model:

“The vitality of a city lies in the strength of its economy. I fully embrace the decision to invest heavily in our region to enhance both quality of life and work, as well as our overall attractiveness. The Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolis has a key role to play: to attract, welcome, and support businesses, helping them grow and thrive. This is precisely the mission of Team Côte d’Azur. “A Territory of innovation and excellence “

Renaud Muselier, President of the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur Region, Deputy President of Regions of France, places local economic action within a broader regional ambition:

“A territory at the service of entrepreneurs”

Support for entrepreneurs extends far beyond the establishment phase. The Nice Côte d’Azur Chamber of Commerce and Industry acts as a central facilitator for project leaders:

Integrate, measure, transform

The agency offers tailor-made support: site searches, recruitment assistance, access to public funding, and connection to clusters and competitiveness hubs. Starting in 2025, it will integrate impact measurement into project evaluation criteria. This enables the region to monitor the economic, social, and environmental outcomes of each business establishment.
