Nice Côte d’Azur, French leading region for professional fulfillment

  • 63% of employees in Nice report being fulfilled in their jobs. This result, drawn from the national survey conducted by 3Gem for Adobe Express in 2025, highlights the region’s ability to combine career opportunities with quality of life. This rate, above the national average, underscores the territory’s capacity to align professional opportunities with personal well-being.
  • Only 40% of active workers in Nice are considering a career move. This figure, lower than the national trend, illustrates the strong roots and stability of talent in the region.
  • Innovation, quality of life, and economic dynamism form the pillars of this ecosystem. These factors explain both employee loyalty and Nice’s recognition as an attractive destination for companies and investors.

National findings of the survey

The study conducted by 3Gem for Adobe Express (June–July 2025) among 2,000 French employees provides an overview of workplace well-being:

  • 54% of workers occupy what they consider their dream job, but only 51% feel fulfilled in their role.
  • 36% are considering leaving their job within the year if a new opportunity arises.
  • Main drivers of satisfaction include employee benefits (14%), flexibility (11%), regular salary reviews (8%), and above all, innovative tools such as AI (17%).
  • Motivations for mobility are dominated by higher pay (46%), better work-life balance (29%), and learning opportunities (16%).
  • Overall, 59% of French employees say they are willing to relocate to secure their ideal job.

These results provide a useful framework for comparing and showcasing local dynamics.

Nice, a region with the highest level of professional fulfillment

In this national overview, Nice stands out with a particularly strong result: 63% of employees in the city report being fulfilled at work. This figure significantly exceeds the national average and confirms the territory’s ability to blend economic attractiveness with quality of life.

This anchoring effect is reinforced by a second indicator: only 40% of employees in Nice say they are willing to relocate to find their ideal job, compared to 59% nationwide. This low mobility intention reflects the fact that professionals already find locally the conditions required for their well-being.

An environment conducive to innovation and stability

National results highlight the growing role of innovation in professional satisfaction. Nice Côte d’Azur benefits from an ecosystem structured around digital industries, healthcare, green industries, and sustainable technologies.

In addition, the Mediterranean lifestyle fosters a balance between professional and personal life, a factor considered essential by nearly one-third of French employees. This environment contributes to talent retention and strengthens the region’s appeal as a destination for businesses.

Economic attractiveness and talent retention

The combination of a high fulfillment rate (63%) and low mobility (40%) makes Nice Côte d’Azur a high-potential region for investors and employers. Companies can rely on a motivated, stable workforce that is strongly integrated into its local environment.

This long-term anchoring represents a competitive advantage: it supports retention, limits turnover, and fosters a climate favorable to innovation. For professionals, it confirms that the Côte d’Azur is a place where one can build a sustainable career in an exceptional living environment.
