
Professor Nicolas Chevalier (on the right in the photo) becomes President of the Medical Committee (CME) of the CHU de Nice. He brings more than twenty years of experience within the hospital. From 2022 until September 2025, he headed the Digestive – Urology – Transplant Surgery, Endocrinology and Nutrition division.
Doctor Stéphane Litrico (on the left in the photo) is reappointed to his position as Vice-President of the CME. A neurosurgeon, he is recognised for his specialty in spinal surgery. He held this position during the previous CME term.
On 25 November, the CHU de Nice announced the results of the election of the new governance of the Medical Committee (CME) of the CHU de Nice.
The Medical Committee (CME) of the CHU de Nice held the election of its new governance on 25 November: Professor Nicolas CHEVALIER has been elected President of the CME and Doctor Stéphane LITRICO has been reappointed as Vice-President.
This election endorses an experienced, committed medical governance, fully mobilised to support the hospital’s ambitious transformation.

PU–PH, Head of the Department of Endocrinology, Diabetology & Reproduction at the CHU de Nice, Professor Nicolas CHEVALIER has been working at the hospital for more than twenty years. He has solid governance experience, having led from January 2022 to September 2025 the Digestive – Urology – Transplant Surgery – Endocrinology – Nutrition division.
Recognised for his clinical expertise and leadership, he intends to place medical governance at the heart of the transformation dynamic of the CHU de Nice.
Dr Stéphane LITRICO, Vice-President of the CME
A renowned neurosurgeon at the CHU de Nice and specialist in spinal surgery, Doctor Stéphane LITRICO is serving a new term as Vice-President of the CME, after having already held this role with dedication during the previous term.
He will ensure continuity of the work undertaken and contribute to strengthening the operational and strategic steering of medical governance.
This renewed leadership team illustrates the determination of the CHU de Nice to pursue its hospital project based on trust, responsibility and organisational innovation.
