A cross-border cooperation project
Developed under the coordination of the Nice University Hospital (Prof. Sabrina Sacconi), MyHealthFriend (MHF) is part of the European Interreg Alcotra France–Italy 2021–2027 programme, which fosters cooperation between Alpine border regions. The project brings together Italian partners ASL CN1 and ASL CN2 around a shared goal: strengthening prevention and well-being through accessible digital tools.
With a total budget of €2 million, including €1.6 million financed by the ERDF, MyHealthFriend demonstrates a concrete, cross-border approach to preventive health.
A personalized prevention pathway
The MyHealthFriend app provides individualized support focused on four major dimensions of well-being: nutrition, physical activity, stress, and sleep. The process begins with an initial assessment to identify each user’s priority area.
A second evaluation refines the profile and generates a three-month personalized programme tailored to physical capacity, availability, and specific needs. Monthly monitoring measures progress and continuously adjusts the guidance.
The aim is to encourage an active, sustainable, and inclusive approach to preventive health.
Local and cross-border engagement
In addition to the personalized support, the app includes an interactive map developed in partnership with tabUi, an official tourism platform in Italy. This feature identifies local resources, linking health with regional discovery while supporting local stakeholders and the proximity economy.
