More than 18000 participants, 400 exhibitors and sponsors and 250 speakers coming from 130 different countries are expected to attend this year\u2019s conference in Cannes.<\/p>\n<p>This year the event will have a new format that allows participants to take advantage of two offers:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u201cCARTES,\u201d an exhibit dedicated to debit and credit cards with the chip, and other methods of payments that will be presented at various stands and booths.<\/li>\n<li>\u201cTrustech Confex,\u201d a conference and professional exposition dedicated to new technologies in security, payment and identity. This conference will have presentations, exhibits, and networking opportunities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The conference sessions will be led by top professionals from large international companies such as\u00a0<strong>J-B Straubel<\/strong>, co-founder and CTO of\u00a0<strong>Tesla Motors<\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong>Adrian Ludwig<\/strong>, Head Engineer of Android Security at\u00a0<strong>Google<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The partnership with Team C\u00f4te d\u2019Azur will allow about 50\u00a0<strong>French Tech C\u00f4te d\u2019Azur<\/strong>\u00a0companies to obtain the requisite accreditation to have a stand at the conference. This will allow them to display their innovations to the 1800 CEOs and decision-makers expected at the conference.<\/p>\n<p>The Trustech conference will be an opportunity for Team C\u00f4te d\u2019Azur to identify and convince companies and individuals to invest in the C\u00f4te d\u2019Azur. The C\u00f4te d\u2019Azur is a region that is ripe with opportunities to develop trust-based technologies thanks to the presence of standardizing bodies\u00a0<strong>ETSI<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>W3C<\/strong>\u00a0at Sophia Antipolis, and the World\u00a0<strong>Pole of competitiveness SCS<\/strong>\u00a0(Secure Communicating Solutions). The C\u00f4te d\u2019Azur also boasts leading research in the fields of wireless telecommunication being led by<strong>\u00a0INRIA<\/strong>\u00a0(the National Institute Research in Computer Science and Control) and two\u00a0<strong>CNRS<\/strong>\u00a0(National Center for Scientific Research) joint labs.<\/p>\n<p>The C\u00f4te d\u2019Azur has a long history of attracting global leaders such as\u00a0<strong>Gemalto<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Intel<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Orange<\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong>STMicroelectronics<\/strong>. They are drawn to the region by the availability of experienced individuals and research, especially in the wireless field.<\/p>\n<p>Trustech\u2019s decision to comme to Cannes will equally be the chance for the C\u00f4te d\u2019Azur to demonstrate the high quality of research and innovation happening in the region to a group of international professionals.
