Team C\u00f4te d\u2019Azur accompanied about ten startups from French Tech C\u00f4te d\u2019Azur at the conference where they were able to represent the research and savoir-faire of the C\u00f4te d\u2019Azur region in the digital domain.<\/p>\n<p>Pascale Pecha, Head of Business Development at Team C\u00f4te d\u2019Azur was pleased with the success at the conference, the first time that Team C\u00f4te d\u2019Azur has been present at the TM Forum, which is usually aimed at larger corporations in the telecom industry\u00a0:<\/p>\n<p><center><iframe src=\"https:\/\/player.vimeo.com\/video\/166054133?title=0&amp;byline=0&amp;portrait=0\" width=\"700\" height=\"490\" frameborder=\"0\" data-mce-fragment=\"1\"><\/iframe><br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/vimeo.com\/166054133\">Head of Business Development, Team C\u00f4te d\u2019Azur at TM Forum Live! 2016<\/a>\u00a0from\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/vimeo.com\/telcoprofessionals\">TelcoProfessionals<\/a>\u00a0on\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/vimeo.com\/\">Vimeo<\/a>.<\/center>The TM Forum is an event that gathers more than 3,500 decision makers and professionals in the telecommunications domain. At the Forum they tend to liberate themselves from focusing only on telecom to focusing how digital technology can be applied to daily life, in particular in areas such as SmartHome, SmartCity, the Internet of Things (IoT) and Connected Health. These professionals were thus duly impressed by the French Tech C\u00f4te d\u2019Azur startups in \u201cStartup Alley.\u201d A group of people from Orange notably took the time to meet the French Tech C\u00f4te d\u2019Azur startups and wishes to contribute to their projects and research on the connected home.<\/p>\n<p>The startups gave a favorable report from their time at the conference. Five of the startups alone totalled about fifty leads with future investors and partners. In their own words:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Armand Menargues, Cuddl\u2019up,\u00a0<\/strong>specializing in the digitalization of the customer path in a dynamic way.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cAt the conference, the majority of the contacts that we made were from large telecom companies. A few of the bigger names in France (Orange; GL Events, Econocom-Osiatis, Qwant) and abroad (Comcast\u2013USA, NTS\u2013Austria, Multicom\u2013Croatia, Etisalat\u2013United Arab Emirates, NTT\u2013Japan, etc.) saw immediate potential in Cuddl\u2019up and proposed to integrate Cuddl\u2019up in their various projects aimed at improving the client path through digital technology.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>About Cuddl\u2019up<\/strong>: Cuddl\u2019up presented its application connected across multiple platforms (table with touch screen, tablets, smartphones, etc). The startup is looking to find a niche in restaurants and hotels, as well as in retail, tourism and eventually health.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Laurent Gaum\u00e9,\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Com4Innov<\/strong>, platform for tests and experimentation using industrial equipment.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cCom4Innov obtained 26 leads at the TMF including 3 leads which hopefully will turn into something before the end of the year. These three companies all work in IT for service providers and being at the TMF allowed us to meet decision makers from different countries, which otherwise would have been more difficult and more expensive. One of these three companies, only one has an office at Sophia (Sophia Antipolis). The stand that was set up by Team C\u00f4te d\u2019Azur was very useful because it gave us a place to meet and to present our company in a setting that maximized our offer and emphasized the assets of the c\u00f4te d\u2019Azur region.\u00a0<\/em><em>\u201c<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>About Com4Innov:\u00a0<\/strong>Com4Innov is an environment of testing and experimentation that is unique for the domains of telecom and IoT. It is open, accessible all year round, and closer than what companies could meet when deploying their products in\u00a0 Europe, the United States, or in Asia<\/p>\n<p><strong>C\u00e9line Corvisier, Myxyty,<\/strong>\u00a0household products for the SmartHome<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201c<\/em><em>Myxyty was delighted by the quality of contacts it was able to make, including ten especially promising ones, its very first time at the TM Forum. Myxyty\u2019s software is easily adaptable to existing interfaces devices which gives Myxyty great flexibility to work within pre-existing environments. As the IoT world is always changing, it is necessary to be open and flexible and that\u2019s exactly what Myxyty has done. This flexibility is what allowed us to have contact with Orange who wishes to integrate us in their Smart Home catalyst. We hope to evolve our existing software and devices by working together with Orange.<\/em><em>\u201c<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>About Myxyty:<\/strong> Myxyty produces household items which can be sold directly to the public or to wholesale. Its most recent product which is still in development, is a centralized device that communicates with a myriad of SmartHome services <a href=\"https:\/\/www.investincotedazur.com\/evenements\/sophia-security-camp\/\">(security<\/a>, smoke detector, energy efficiency, light, music).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Cyrille Th\u00e9veniaud, Lucie Labs,\u00a0<\/strong>light-up wristbands, interactive and connected for event organizers.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cPresent at the TM Forum at the Acropolis convention center in Nice 2016, the presentation of the unique benefits of the Lucie Wristband caught the attention of certain representatives from IT companies: Huawei Technologies, GSL, and even from TM Forum event organizers who could be interested in using the Lucie Wristband in the organization of their Forums.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>About Lucie Labs\u00a0:\u00a0<\/strong>Lucie Labs is an IoT startup based in Sophia-Antipolis that makes digital wristbands that allow for a unique approach to using light as a source of interaction and expression:\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.lucielabs.com\/\">See their site<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Denis Thibaudin, Cintoo3D<\/strong>, Data compressing and 3D imaging done in realtime<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cWe were very satisfied with our two half days spent at the conference even if it was the first time for Team C\u00f4te d\u2019Azur and French Tech C\u00f4te d\u2019Azur. What we appreciated the most was the possibility to go meet with several people at their stands and the energetic manner in which Pascale Pecha to \u201cdrive\u201d prospects towards the booth for the startups of French Tech C\u00f4te d\u2019Azur. As a result we were able to make contact with about ten companies, four of which were especially promising. Of these four companies, two were Indian, one was Italian; and one was English. Also two were with service providers and two were with developpers.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>About\u00a0Cintoo3D :<\/strong>\u00a0Cintoo3D is the result of 10 years of research led by the i3s laboratory at the University of Nice-Sophia Antipolis. Cintoo3D offers a system to compress, stream, and visualize big data in 3D.
