{"id":2867,"date":"2019-06-27T22:07:44","date_gmt":"2019-06-27T20:07:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.investincotedazur.com\/?p=2867"},"modified":"2021-12-23T15:54:22","modified_gmt":"2021-12-23T14:54:22","slug":"first-francophonice-forum-in-2019","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.investincotedazur.com\/en\/first-francophonice-forum-in-2019\/","title":{"rendered":"First \u00ab FrancophoNice \u00bb Forum in 2019"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3><strong>Francophonia and Team C\u00f4te d\u2019Azur celebrate the economic Francophonie with the support from the City of Nice.<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.universitesdefrancophonia.com\/sites\/default\/files\/2019-03\/Pr%C3%A9sentation%20FRANCOPHONIA%2C%20JAN2019.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Francophonia<\/a>,\u00a0<\/strong>a major agency promoting the C\u00f4te d\u2019Azur among French-speaking countries, and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.investincotedazur.com\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Team C\u00f4te d\u2019Azur<\/strong><\/a>, in charge of supporting business activities in the French riviera territory, launched together the first edition of the \u201cFrancophoNice\u201d Forum this year. The event took place at the \u201cCentre Universitaire M\u00e9diterran\u00e9en\u201d (<em>CUM)<\/em>\u00a0from the 14<sup>th<\/sup>-15<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0of June 2019. International experts on the French-speaking world came together to share their insights on what should be the ideal exchange platform uniting economic Francophone stakeholders. Through their work, the stakeholders seek to combine economic imperatives with sustainable, green, social and cohesive development goals while respecting identities, which are the wealth of the French speaking community (\u201c<em>Francophonie\u201d<\/em>).<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>\u00ab FrancophoNice \u00bb : The French language supporting economic development<\/u><br \/>\n<\/strong>By organizing this event at the CUM, meeting point of all cultures, Francophonia and Team C\u00f4te d\u2019Azur seeked to turn the Francophone economy into a reality rather than a concept by promoting the French language as a sustainable and steady growth lever.\u00a0<strong>The City of Nice<\/strong>\u00a0also supported this initiative to contribute to the building of a true economic catalyst within the French-speaking world. Other partners of the Forum involved the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Nice C\u00f4te d\u2019Azur, Air France, \u201cLa Tribune C\u00f4te d\u2019Azur\u201d, TV5 Monde, the \u201cFondation INRC\u201d, Malongo, Galimard, the CESER, the MOF (\u201c<em>Meilleurs Ouvriers de France<\/em>\u201d) and the \u201cGroupe Cr\u00e9dit Coop\u00e9ratif\u201d. Over twenty international Francophone experts gathered to debate the idea of a sixth sustainable continent where French would be the reference language in the long term. This exchange platform will reinforce the economy of French speaking community on an international stage.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Themed round tables run by international Francophone experts<br \/>\n<\/u><\/strong>For two days, speakers specializing in the Francophonie including institutional representatives, consultants, and legal experts discussed four main topics:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00ab\u00a0Geopolitics of the French language\u00a0\u00bb<\/li>\n<li>\u00ab\u00a0Is training at the heart of the economic ambition of the Francophone project? \u00bb<\/li>\n<li>\u00ab\u00a0Which are the best sectors to build a Francophone Economy?\u00a0\u00bb<\/li>\n<li>\u00ab\u00a0Is the social and solidarity economy a specific Francophone feature ? \u00bb<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The discussions highlighted the challenges linked to the creation of a united Francophone economy. The importance of generation of wealth and benefits is key in sectors such as Tourism, Medicine, and Finance. The necessity to support Education and Training in French abroad means building a career and finding opportunities. The creation of a Francophone community with values, working towards a social and solidarity economy, sustainable development and CSR policies will encourage and involve future generations.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Given the success of the first edition, the \u00ab\u00a0FrancophoNice\u00a0\u00bb Forum will be renewed in 2020<br \/>\n<\/u><\/strong>The 2019 edition of the \u00ab\u00a0FrancophoNice\u00a0\u00bb Forum gathered more than 180 participants and was a real success. The quality and main outcomes of the debates enabled working groups to develop a set of concrete actions that will work towards a tangible Francophone economy and be implemented as of this year. The selected ideas involve:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Combining recognized Francophone know-hows with the construction of an economic platform and the spread of messages promoting excellence, sustainability and innovation made by and for humans.<\/li>\n<li>Contributing to better economic, environmental, technological\u2026 education in French.<\/li>\n<li>Promoting an entrepreneurship which holds CSR policies up.<\/li>\n<li>Increasing the use of the French language in trading and exchange in all possible ways.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The 2020 \u201cFrancophoNice\u201d Forum will therefore be the opportunity to draw first conclusions on the implemented actions, measure their impact and efficiency, and think of new economic Francophonie-oriented projects.<\/p>\n<p><img class=\" wp-image-4503 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.investincotedazur.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/vcsPRAsset_3528824_158964_664f6b02-0331-4446-82c5-8fdb4266e43c_0-300x201-1.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"481\" height=\"322\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>To (re)discover the event, we invite you to watch the<a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/ivwR56fc59Y\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><u>\u00a0opening ceremony video<\/u><\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em><u>About Francophonia<\/u><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>Based in Nice,\u00a0Francophonia is a company involved in the promotion and the teaching of French abroad. Francophonia partners with more than a hundred academic institutions and associations of French as a Foreign Language teachers across the world. Its main activity consists in coordinating Francophonia Universities, which gather 800 teachers of over 80 nationalities in Nice each summer. The teachers play the role of French language Ambassadors abroad, especially via a strong presence on social networks.
