{"id":2828,"date":"2019-06-12T22:33:13","date_gmt":"2019-06-12T20:33:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.investincotedazur.com\/?p=2828"},"modified":"2021-12-23T13:28:04","modified_gmt":"2021-12-23T12:28:04","slug":"digihub-shawinigan-creacannes-and-casa-business-center-sign-historical-collaborations","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.investincotedazur.com\/en\/digihub-shawinigan-creacannes-and-casa-business-center-sign-historical-collaborations\/","title":{"rendered":"DigiHub Shawinigan, Cr\u00e9ACannes and CASA Business Center sign historical collaborations"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3><strong>Team C\u00f4te d\u2019Azur Facilitates Relationships Between the Business Accelerator DigiHub in Quebec and the Business Incubators in Cannes and Sophia Antipolis.<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><strong>A historical collaboration between the business accelerator\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/digihub.ca\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">DigiHub<\/a>\u00a0of Shawinigan, the third biggest Digital cluster in Quebec, and the French business incubator\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.cannes.com\/fr\/economie\/creacannes-la-cite-des-entreprises.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Cr\u00e9\u00c0Cannes<\/a>\u00a0was announced on May 27<sup>th<\/sup>, 2019.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>During the collaboration announcement, participants discovered how this new partnership will contribute to the attractiveness of companies setting up in the DigiHub of Shawinigan<br \/>\nand in Cr\u00e9a Cannes.\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.investincotedazur.com\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Team C\u00f4te d\u2019Azur<\/a>\u00a0played a key part in structuring this international agreement<\/strong>\u00a0by leading a two-pronged strategy: prospecting and capturing investments and talents.<\/p>\n<p><img class=\" wp-image-4375 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/www.investincotedazur.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/IMG_7182-300x225-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"238\" height=\"178\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The agency promoting business activities in the Azurean region played a\u00a0<strong>major driving role by facilitating relationships and discussions between involved stakeholders<\/strong>. Relationships with the DigiHub kept on strengthening after meetings with its Representatives in Montreal in 2017. Regular business meetings took place especially during the Innovative City Congress in Nice, enabling Team C\u00f4te d\u2019Azur to identify DigiHub as a key partner for the C\u00f4te d\u2019Azur.<\/p>\n<p>The agreement focuses on the \u201c<strong>Digital Francophonie<\/strong>\u201d and involves the globalization of startups from both regions.<br \/>\nThese startups can reciprocally benefit from accommodation and funding facilities in Quebec and Cannes, as well as from project engineering support, especially\u00a0 in the e-Health sector.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Created in 2014,\u00a0<strong>the DigiHub provides entrepreneurs with training, working and business platforms.<\/strong>\u00a0There, they can access any resources they need to develop and achieve<br \/>\ntheir Digital-related projects. The DigiHub focuses on four core business activities: Digital entertainment, e-Health, Digital Museology and the 4.0 Smart Factory.<\/p>\n<p>The incubator<strong>\u00a0Cr\u00e9\u00c0Cannes\u00a0<\/strong>was also launched in 2014. It represents a<strong>\u00a0strong economic generator by helping startups for the first two years after their creation.\u00a0<\/strong>It hosts startups as well as startups business support organizations. These companies are mainly specializing in Audiovisual, Digital and Creative Economy, Aerospace Technology Applications and Smart Agriculture.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The CASA Business Center and the DigiHub also signed a partnership on May 29<sup>th<\/sup>, 2019.<\/strong>\u00a0This decision was motivated by the relevant example of the startup Cintoo 3D from Sophia Antipolis, which set up its Canadian business activities in the DigiHub from 2016. The objective of this new collaboration is to help other startups expand their businesses in Quebec and in the C\u00f4te d\u2019Azur.<\/p>\n<p><img class=\"size-full wp-image-4377 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/www.investincotedazur.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/IMG_7201-225x300-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The agreement between the third biggest digital cluster in Quebec and the first technopole of Europe has\u00a0<strong>two main objectives<\/strong>: developing opportunities for companies hosted by both cities, and facilitating contact with relevant partners, investors and decision-makers on local compliance and regulations. Mostly companies specializing in the Blockchain technology and in Artificial Intelligence, a key branch of the C\u00f4te d\u2019Azur since the recent 3IA labelling of the region, are involved.<\/p>\n<p><strong>A cryptopass pilot project has also been initiated\u00a0<\/strong>by a group of companies from the DigiHub of Shawinigan and the CASA Business Center.
