Team C\u00f4te d\u2019Azur facilitated Melexis new R&amp;D center integration into the local ecosystem.\u00a0<strong>Nicolas Simonne,<\/strong>\u00a0Global Development and Quality Manager, explains why\u00a0this investment on the C\u00f4te d\u2019Azur is a strategic move for Melexis.<\/p>\n<h3>Can you tell us about your business ?<\/h3>\n<p>We have\u00a0<strong>10 R&amp;D centers<\/strong>\u00a0located across the globe in Belgium, Bulgaria, Germany, Philippines, Switzerland, Ukraine, USA and in France. These facilities support the company in creating\u00a0<strong>advanced semiconductor technology<\/strong>\u00a0to address the rapidly evolving automotive, industrial, medical, smart domestic appliance and building automation sectors.<\/p>\n<h3>Why choose the C\u00f4te d\u2019Azur ?<\/h3>\n<p>We established our\u00a0<strong>new R&amp;D center in Grasse<\/strong>\u00a0in January. After careful consideration we decided that Grasse presented us with a great opportunity to\u00a0<strong>strengthen our engineering assets<\/strong>. We identified this as a highly conducive environment in which to place a new R&amp;D center. As well as\u00a0<strong>facilitating the recruitment<\/strong>\u00a0of experienced technically astute staff, it will also enable us to benefit from the city\u2019s hospitable reputation.<\/p>\n<h3>What support do you get from Team C\u00f4te d\u2019Azur ?<\/h3>\n<p>We recognize Team C\u00f4te d\u2019Azur as a\u00a0<strong>valued partner<\/strong>\u00a0for the creation of new business in the area. The team has a strong knowledge of the industrial zone and its players. They are moreover embedded in a solid local network and are able to act as a\u00a0<strong>reliable and proactive<\/strong>\u00a0partner.<\/p>\n<h3>What are the development prospects of Melexis on the C\u00f4te d\u2019Azur ?<\/h3>\n<p>The core competence of the new design center in Grasse will be focusing on the\u00a0<strong>automotive industry<\/strong>.
