The evening before the opening of the trade show, Christian Estrosi<b>,<\/b>\u00a0President of the M\u00e9tropole Nice Cote d\u2019Azur, welcomed business property operators to the newly opened Maison de la M\u00e9tropole Nice Cote d\u2019Azur in Paris.\u00a0 Over 80 potential major investors including representatives from Altarea Cogedim, Arthur Loyd Investissement, BNP Paribas, Carrefour, la Compagnie de Phalsbourg, IBM, Kaufman &amp; Broad and Bouwfounds Marignan, responded to the invitation. The M\u00e9tropole Nice Cote d\u2019Azur, the Urban Development Agency \u00c9co-Vall\u00e9e Plaine du Var, the Sophia Antipolis Agglomeration Community and Team Cote d\u2019Azur presented the opportunities available to property investors on the Cote d\u2019Azur market, on a\u00a0<b>very popular Cote d\u2019Azur stand<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p><img class=\" wp-image-4385 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.investincotedazur.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/img_548841a5f0cff-300x125.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"701\" height=\"292\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.investincotedazur.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/img_548841a5f0cff-300x125.png 300w, https:\/\/www.investincotedazur.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/img_548841a5f0cff-1024x425.png 1024w, https:\/\/www.investincotedazur.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/img_548841a5f0cff-768x319.png 768w, https:\/\/www.investincotedazur.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/img_548841a5f0cff.png 1156w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 701px) 100vw, 701px\" \/><\/p>\n<h2>\u00c9co-Vall\u00e9e in Nice: programmes setting an environmental example<b><\/b><\/h2>\n<p>The M\u00e9tropole Nice Cote d\u2019Azur and the Urban Development Agency Eco-Vall\u00e9e Plaine du Var presented the projects currently being marketed in the new Grand Ar\u00e9nas international business district and the Nice M\u00e9ridia urban technology park at the centre of the \u00c9co-Vall\u00e9e. Two projects have been approved:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>A green hotel at Grand Ar\u00e9nas<\/b>\u00a0At the trade show, the agreement to sell the land of\u00a0<b>sector 3.5 in the centre of Grand Arenas<\/b>\u00a0was signed with the energy company\u00a0<b>EDF\u00a0<\/b>and the property developer\u00a0<b>Nacarat<\/b>. A first symbolic operation located near the Nice airport multi-modal transport hub, this concerns a combined development over 18,000m\u00b2, the design of which has been assigned to the architect\u00a0<b>Dominique Perrault<\/b>, who created the National Library of France and the Olympic swimming pool in Berlin. It comprises 8,000 m\u00b2 of offices, a 4-star hotel aimed at business and tourism customers and several shops. The hotel, which offers 180 rooms, can produce its own heat using photovoltaic panels and heat pumps installed in the water tables. \u00a0Due to the \u00ab\u00a0<b>Eco City<\/b>\u00a0\u00bb approach backed by the M\u00e9tropole, the Urban Development Agency \u00c9co-Vall\u00e9e Plaine du Var is supported by the\u00a0<b>\u00ab\u00a0City of the future\u00a0\u00bb<\/b>\u00a0fund as part of the investments of the future designed to promote the creation of a high energy and environmental efficiency programme<b>.\u00a0EDF Optimal Solutions<\/b>\u00a0has been involved in the operation from the start, certified under\u00a0<b>BREEAM Excellence<\/b>\u00a0which will ensure that energy consumption is reduced by 25 to 45\u00a0% compared with energy efficiency standards.\u00a0Delivery is scheduled for 2018.<\/li>\n<li><b>A glass-covered car park in Nice M\u00e9ridia<\/b>\u00a0The agreement for a\u00a0<b>Parking facility,<\/b>\u00a0which was also signed, represents the 2nd key programme of the Nice M\u00e9ridia urban technology park. The project, created and financed by the\u00a0<b>developer ARTEA<\/b>, is a continuation of The Crown building, the 1st stone of which was laid last October and which is set to accommodate IBM and EDF next year.\u00a0The car park will have 6 levels offering almost\u00a0<b>450 parking spaces<\/b>\u00a0and will feature approximately 600 m\u00b2 of premises for\u00a0<b>shops and services<\/b>\u00a0on the ground floor. On the roof, a large canopy of south-facing\u00a0<b>photovoltaic panels<\/b>\u00a0will supply the building\u2019s energy needs as well as charging stations for electric vehicles in the car park. A metal structure, the\u00a0<b>lit and plant-covered<\/b>\u00a0fa\u00e7ades are also a sign of the innovative design and strong environmental ambitions.
