from around the world, including industry leaders, investors, researchers, and institutional representatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:48px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" afternoon, attendees engaged in panel discussions and networking sessions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The event opened with remarks from Loick Menvielle (EDHEC Business School), who positioned the region as a true convergence point for education, innovation, business, and economic development \u2014 setting the tone for a day of cross-sector dialogue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The first panel, moderated by Gaelle Youssef (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.investincotedazur.com\/en\/nucleate-france-unica-strengthens-the-ties-between-research-industry-and-entrepreneurship-in-life-sciences\/\">Nucleate<\/a>), explored the dynamics of innovation in the region<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li><strong>Franck Nassiri <\/strong>(EDHEC Business School, ex-NVIDIA) emphasized the need for collaboration between engineers, data scientists, and business leaders. \u201cYou need real platforms and initiatives where these groups can work together in practice,\u201d he said.<\/li><li><strong>Estelle Martinez<\/strong> (GCS CARES) presented the regional health data warehouse being developed in the Alpes-Maritimes \u2014 a vital infrastructure for research and care innovation. She discussed the challenges of aligning diverse stakeholders and the major opportunities this project offers for startups and public-private partnerships. <\/li><li><strong>Jorgen Hansen<\/strong> (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.investincotedazur.com\/en\/truffle-capital-is-opening-an-office-in-nice-france-and-inaugurating-caranx-medicals-laboratories\/\">Caranx Medical<\/a>) shared the journey of building a medtech startup at the intersection of engineering and clinical insight, describing the experience as \u201cnavigating through the jungle.\u201d While he praised the support from local actors, he also called for more structured resources for early-stage companies. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:48px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>In a concise session, <strong>Bastien Bernard<\/strong> (ASKESIS) shared insights on how to turn scientific breakthroughs into investor-ready ventures. He highlighted the importance of strategic funding and clear storytelling to attract investors and accelerate the commercialization of life sciences innovations. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The second panel, which included organizations that are already set up or willing to invest in C\u00f4te d\u2019Azur, was moderated by <strong>St\u00e9phane Milot<\/strong> (Biomunex Pharmaceuticals &amp; Bio4ward) and focused on attracting international investment:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li><strong>Ayah Hamdan<\/strong> (Plug and Play) offered concrete strategies for life sciences startups to gain visibility and credibility with global investors. \u201cThe science is strong here \u2014 now it\u2019s about structuring the offer and reaching beyond borders,\u201d she noted.<\/li><li><strong> Alex Garcia <\/strong>(Orbyn) provided insights from the investor\u2019s perspective: \u201cThe South ofFrance has great talent and research, but we need well-packaged, globally-minded ventures with clear growth strategies.\u201d<\/li><li><strong> Caroline de Mare\u00fcil-Villette <\/strong>(ICOSA) highlighted the essential role of intellectual property: \u201cA solid IP strategy, built with international expansion in mind, makes startups more investable and globally competitive.\u201d<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:48px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>In her closing remarks, <strong>Sana Bouyahia<\/strong> (Team Nice C\u00f4te d\u2019Azur) emphasized the growing opportunities for investors in the South of France\u2019s life sciences sector.
