Gauderic Harang has just been appointed as the General Manager of the Anantara Plaza Nice Hotel.<\/a> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

He brings a wealth of experience gained from leading various Anantara Resorts around the world, particularly in Thailand, the Maldives, Abu Dhabi, and Oman for Six Senses. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

During his most recent post as the director of Anantara Sir Bani Yas Island Resorts, he initiated renovation projects and introduced initiatives to enhance customer experience and environmental sustainability.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Located in the heart of Nice, the Anantara Plaza Nice Hotel<\/a> reopened its doors in December 2022 after significant renovations. This hotel combines elements of a historic building with modern amenities. Under the leadership of Gauderic Harang, the establishment aims to consolidate its position as a luxury destination on the French Riviera, focusing on quality services and an enhanced customer experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tourism on the C\u00f4te d’Azur, with a turnover of nearly 4.5 billion euros in 2021, of which 2.2 billion for the Nice C\u00f4te d\u2019Azur Metropolis, plays a crucial role in the regional economy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to a study by the Sirius Economic Observatory of the Nice C\u00f4te d\u2019Azur Chamber of Commerce<\/a>, hospitality and catering account for about 80% of tourist turnover, with more than 7,000 establishments and nearly 39,000 employees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The region has seen notable investments in the hotel sector, including the inauguration of the Anantara Plaza Nice Hotel, the renovation of the Radisson Hotel Nice Airport.<\/a>, the opening of theH\u00f4tel Nemea Appart\u2019h\u00f4tel Nice Riviera<\/a>, the arrival of an OKKO Hotels establishment in the Ar\u00e9nas business district<\/a>and the upcoming opening of a Mama Shelter in June 2024<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The study also highlights the diversity of the region’s tourist attractions and the importance of sustainable tourism, wellness, and digital technology for the future. Sports tourism, with events like the Rugby World Cup in 2023 and the Tour de France in 2024<\/a>, promises additional economic benefits for the sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
