{"id":16182,"date":"2023-06-22T12:42:16","date_gmt":"2023-06-22T10:42:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.investincotedazur.com\/?p=16182"},"modified":"2023-06-22T12:49:15","modified_gmt":"2023-06-22T10:49:15","slug":"ai-cluster-and-ai-booster-france-2030-the-pillars-of-french-strategy-in-ai","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.investincotedazur.com\/en\/ai-cluster-and-ai-booster-france-2030-the-pillars-of-french-strategy-in-ai\/","title":{"rendered":"AI Cluster and AI Booster France 2030: The Pillars of French Strategy in AI"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div class=\"wp-container-3 wp-block-columns\">\n<div class=\"wp-container-1 wp-block-column\" style=\"flex-basis:33.33%\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img width=\"700\" height=\"700\" src=\"https:\/\/www.investincotedazur.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/Publications-TCA-2023-06-22T122040.448.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-16176\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.investincotedazur.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/Publications-TCA-2023-06-22T122040.448.png 700w, https:\/\/www.investincotedazur.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/Publications-TCA-2023-06-22T122040.448-300x300.png 300w, https:\/\/www.investincotedazur.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/Publications-TCA-2023-06-22T122040.448-150x150.png 150w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-container-2 wp-block-column\" style=\"flex-basis:66.66%\">\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">During <a href=\"https:\/\/www.investincotedazur.com\/en\/vivatech-2023-29-startups-from-the-sud-region-in-the-spotlight\/\">Vivatech 2023<\/a>, President Emmanuel Macron announced a bold plan aiming to establish France as a global leader in the field of artificial intelligence (AI). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">The project is funded by France 2030 and includes a flagship initiative, the &#8220;<strong>AI-Cluster<\/strong>&#8220;, with a budget of 500 million euros. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">This plan aims to establish <a href=\"https:\/\/www.investincotedazur.com\/institut-3ia-cote-dazur-element-federateur-de-lia-sur-la-cote-dazur\/\">centers of excellence for AI training and research throughout France<\/a>, with the goal of becoming European and global leaders and doubling the number of AI specialists in France by 2030.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>The &#8216;IA-Cluster&#8217; project<\/strong> call aims to establish between 5 and 10 universities and schools as European and global leaders in AI.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">The institutions selected by an international jury will benefit from significant investment to position France at the forefront of the global higher education and AI research ecosystem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">The program aims to strengthen at least three French institutions in the top 50 global universities in the field of AI, and to double the number of high-level AI specialists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>Furthermore, the increased computing capacity of the Jean Zay supercomputer (GENCI-CNRS)<\/strong> and the arrival of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.investincotedazur.com\/supercalculateur-sipearl-collabore-avec-amd-dans-le-supercalcul-exascale-en-europe\/\">Exascale supercomputer in 2025<\/a>, in co-investment with the European Union, will be valuable assets for the development of AI in France.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:28px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>In order to assist French companies in their adoption of AI, the new IA Booster France 2030 initiative has been launched.<\/strong> <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">This program, funded by the state to the tune of 25 million euros, aims to enrich the service offerings of French SMEs and mid-tier companies, improve their competitiveness, and modernize their production apparatus thanks to AI.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>The President also announced the launch of a large-scale international challenge<\/strong>, aimed at promoting the emergence and comparison of the best global teams in AI, including several French teams.
