  • Team Nice Côte d’Azur will attend VivaTech 2026 alongside the Région Sud delegation and its partners. The economic attractiveness agency will represent the Nice Côte d’Azur territory as part of a collective presence bringing together Région Sud, risingSUD, the metropolitan areas of Nice Côte d’Azur, Aix-Marseille-Provence, Toulon Provence Méditerranée, the Sophia Antipolis urban community and Capital & Innovation by Crédit Agricole Alpes Provence. This presence will position the territory before investors, corporates, startups, technology partners and international decision-makers gathered in Paris.
  • On 19 May 2026, Région Sud unveiled a delegation of 40 startups for VivaTech. The selection spotlights companies active in artificial intelligence, deeptech, climate tech, health, smart city, fintech, legaltech and professional applications. Among them, 15 startups from the Côte d’Azur will carry a significant share of the territory’s innovation momentum.
  • Hervé Laubertie, CEO of Team Nice Côte d’Azur, and Jean-François Chapperon, Senior Manager Foreign Direct Investments, will be on site. They will represent the agency with a focus on economic outreach, cooperation and international business development. Their presence continues the promotional work the agency conducts with innovative companies and technology ecosystems.
  • VivaTech is a major meeting point between technology, funding, innovation and economic development. The 2026 edition runs from 17 to 20 June at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles, with three B2B days and one B2C day. For Team Nice Côte d’Azur, this event builds on a track record of international cooperation, as illustrated by the partnership agreement signed in 2024 with Novation City, an innovation hub based in Sousse, Tunisia.

Team Nice Côte d’Azur will take part in VivaTech 2026, from 17 to 20 June at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles, alongside the Région Sud delegation and its partners. For the economic attractiveness agency, this flagship European innovation event is a prime stage to showcase the Nice Côte d’Azur territory before investors, corporates, startups, technology partners and international decision-makers.

VivaTech brings together the players shaping major technological transformations: startups, investors, industrials, institutions, international delegations, media and large groups. The 2026 edition will gather innovation stakeholders around emerging technologies, industrial challenges and transitions, with demonstration spaces, exchange areas, conferences and business meetings.

For Team Nice Côte d’Azur, there is a dual purpose: to support the visibility of the Côte d’Azur companies selected within the regional delegation, and to raise awareness of the territory’s assets among players likely to develop projects, partnerships or establish operations in Nice Côte d’Azur.

A collective presence with Région Sud and its partners

Team Nice Côte d’Azur’s participation sits within a structured regional effort. The shared stand brings together Région Sud, risingSUD, the metropolitan areas of Nice Côte d’Azur, Aix-Marseille-Provence, Toulon Provence Méditerranée, the Sophia Antipolis urban community and Capital & Innovation by Crédit Agricole Alpes Provence. It will provide selected companies with demonstration space, exchange areas and speaking opportunities.

On 19 May 2026, Région Sud presented the 40 startups in its VivaTech 2026 delegation. The selection reflects the breadth of expertise across the regional territory: climate tech, healthtech, deeptech, smart city, AI & data, and industry 4.0.

Within this group, Team Nice Côte d’Azur will highlight what sets Nice Côte d’Azur apart: the depth of its technology ecosystem, its international reach, and its core sectors including health, digital, natural ingredients, maritime economy, cultural and creative industries, industry 4.0, tourism and ecological transition. These sectors shape the economic promotion work Team Nice Côte d’Azur carries out with investors, project leaders and international partners.

VivaTech, an economic platform for Nice Côte d’Azur

VivaTech offers direct dialogue with decision-makers looking for ecosystems capable of hosting, supporting and growing technology ventures. The event connects scaling companies with investors, corporates, industrial partners and international delegations.

Team Nice Côte d’Azur’s presence serves three complementary objectives. The first is to support the visibility of the Côte d’Azur startups selected within the Région Sud delegation. The second is to build relationships with French and international economic and technology partners. The third is to position Nice Côte d’Azur as a location for innovative companies seeking talent, international connectivity and a supportive business environment.

This approach extends a trajectory already visible through the agency’s international partnerships. In 2024, Team Nice Côte d’Azur and Novation City signed a strategic cooperation agreement at Viva Technology to strengthen ties between the innovation ecosystems of Nice Côte d’Azur and Sousse. The agreement was signed by Hervé Laubertie, CEO of Team Nice Côte d’Azur, and Hichem Turki, CEO of Novation City.

Nice Côte d’Azur, a territory of applied innovation

The presence of 15 Côte d’Azur startups among the 40 regional companies selected underscores the density of the local ecosystem. Team Nice Côte d’Azur showcases an environment where research, entrepreneurship, international openness, infrastructure, scientific and technological capabilities, talent attractiveness and the capacity to host innovative projects come together.

In Paris, the objective is to demonstrate the coherence of an ecosystem that connects companies, investors, institutions and technology partners around real-world projects. Nice Côte d’Azur will put forward a vision of innovation grounded in practical outcomes: managing resources more efficiently, supporting industrial transitions, securing data, improving services, advancing healthcare, strengthening the tourism economy and developing lower-impact technologies.

Alongside the Région Sud delegation, Team Nice Côte d’Azur will carry a clear economic ambition: to strengthen the territory’s visibility, support the Côte d’Azur startups selected, and open new avenues for cooperation with French and international innovation players.

With 40 regional companies, including 15 from the Côte d’Azur, the Région Sud delegation will showcase innovation that is diverse, applied and rooted in the transitions shaping the economy. Team Nice Côte d’Azur will contribute by carrying the voice of a territory that combines international attractiveness, technological depth and sustainable economic development.
