eam Nice Côte d’Azur welcomed a delegation from Plug and Play Shenzhen to the Côte d’Azur on 22 and 23 June.
Plug and Play is one of the world’s largest open innovation and venture capital platforms, with a presence in 35 cities and investments in more than 250 early-stage startups every year. In China, it operates innovation hubs in Beijing, Shanghai and Shenzhen.
Over the two-day visit, the delegation met with Côte d’Azur startups and key players from the local innovation ecosystem: MonacoTech, Allianz Accelerator, Villa Blu by Robertet, La French Tech Côte d’Azur and UniCA Entreprendre.
The objective of the visit was to build a bridge between the Côte d’Azur and China’s Greater Bay Area, facilitating connections for local startups by giving them access to an international innovation network and opportunities to explore new avenues for business development and funding.
The visit illustrates Team Nice Côte d’Azur’s role as a gateway between the Côte d’Azur ecosystem and major international innovation networks.
Hervé LAUBERTIE, Jean-François Chapperon and Stefano Cimmarusti represented Team Nice Côte d’Azur throughout the two-day visit.
