A new acquisition in Nice
The addition of Best Western Plus Hotel Cosy Nice brings the number of hotels operated by Summer Hotels to twelve, including eight in Nice. The acquisition is part of a growth strategy based on acquiring high-potential properties, enhancing their value and preserving their individual identity. The group says it is actively exploring further opportunities to contribute to the continued development of tourism on the Côte d’Azur.
Opening up its capital to accelerate growth
This acquisition strategy follows a significant milestone for the company: the group’s first capital investment round since its creation in 2004, announced in February 2026. Summer Hotels welcomed Bpifrance, through its France Investissement Tourisme 3 fund, Sofipaca Groupe Crédit Agricole and BNP Paribas Développement as minority shareholders alongside the founder.
The transaction was designed to strengthen the group’s equity base and support an active strategy of targeted acquisitions focused on the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region.
A leading independent hospitality group on the Côte d’Azur
Founded in 2004, Summer Hotels owns and operates three- and four-star hotels located between Cannes and Menton. Each property retains its own identity while adhering to shared quality standards. Over two decades, the group has become the leading independent hotel operator on the Côte d’Azur, generating €36 million in revenue and targeting more than €40 million in 2026.
This growth trajectory was already illustrated in May 2025 with the acquisition of the Royalmar in Cagnes-sur-Mer. The acquisition of Best Western Plus Hotel Cosy Nice further confirms the group’s ambition to consolidate its position as a major player in independent hospitality along the Côte d’Azur.
