Strengthening DPA Europe’s industrial presence on the Côte d’Azur
With Project Phoenix, DPA Europe is consolidating and significantly expanding its industrial operations in Carros-Le Broc, at the heart of the Nice Côte d’Azur metropolitan area. The existing 6,000 sq m production and logistics facility will be expanded to nearly 14,000 sq m of usable space, enabling the company to double its refurbishment capacity.
The project aims to make Carros home to the largest refurbishment centre in France and Europe. Designed as an environmentally responsible and energy self-sufficient building, the facility brings together industrial reshoring, the circular economy and the ecological transition on the Côte d’Azur. Construction is scheduled to begin in September 2026, with the new site expected to open in early 2028.
REBORN, premium “Made in France” refurbished electronics
Founded in 2017, REBORN has established itself as the French leader in premium refurbished electronics. Its quality-focused positioning is built on 100% French refurbishment, recognised through the Service France Garanti certification awarded by AFNOR. Every device, whether a smartphone, AirPods or tablet, undergoes a 54-point inspection process before being returned to the market with a two-year warranty.
In 2025, REBORN processed 820,000 products, including 550,000 smartphones, with a workforce of 120 employees. The brand draws on the group’s distribution network, which includes retailers such as Fnac, Darty and Boulanger, as well as telecom operators including Orange and Bouygues.
“In 2017, we made the strategic shift that would have the greatest impact on our future: refurbished electronics,” said Roger-David Lellouche, President of DPA Europe. “Today, that decision has become a conviction: sustainability is not a constraint; it is one of the defining challenges of the years ahead,” he added.
Fifty years of anticipating technological change
Founded in Monaco in 1976 by Franck Lellouche, DPA Europe initially specialised in the automotive and audio markets. Roger-David Lellouche’s appointment as President in 2003 accelerated the group’s diversification into in-car video, GPS technology and, subsequently, consumer electronics. The most significant turning point came in 2017 with the creation of REBORN, a move into the circular economy designed to address consumers’ growing economic and environmental expectations.
With Project Phoenix, DPA Europe intends to consolidate its position in France and accelerate its international expansion to become a leading player in refurbished electronics in Europe, building on its industrial base on the Côte d’Azur.
