Daily flights to Canada from Nice, thanks to the combination of this new route with the existing Nice – Montreal service.
Three direct routes to Canada and 18 long-haul connections from Nice Côte d’Azur Airport, including 11 to North America.
A long-standing partnership between Air Canada and Nice Côte d’Azur Airport, in place since 2014, of which this new route marks a further milestone.
A new direct gateway to one of Canada’s leading hubs
From June 16, 2027, Air Canada will operate a direct Nice – Toronto route twice a week, on Wednesdays and Saturdays, through October 23, 2027. The service will be operated on an Airbus A330-300. Combined with the existing Nice – Montreal route, the new service will allow Nice Côte d’Azur Airport to offer daily flights to Canada.
By adding Toronto to our Nice departures, we are offering additional direct access to two of our key hubs. Beyond the final destination, our customers benefit from seamless connections to over 250 destinations across Canada, the United States, Latin America, and the Caribbean, thanks to Air Canada’s extensive network,” explains Jean-François Raudin, Air Canada’s representative for France.
Momentum on North American routes
For Nice Côte d’Azur Airport, the announcement marks a step up in the growth of its North American network, which now includes 11 long-haul routes. These connections offer travellers from the French Riviera, Monaco and Northern Italy fast direct access to the continent’s main destinations and hubs.
“Air Canada has been a loyal partner of Nice Côte d’Azur Airport since 2014. Their growing commitment over the years—and now the launch of a new route to Toronto—aligns with our ongoing goal to better connect our region to the world, particularly North America, through direct flights that ensure both passenger comfort and a reduced environmental impact,” states Franck Goldnadel, Chairman of the Executive Board of Aéroports de la Côte d’Azur.
Strengthened ties between the Côte d’Azur and Canada
The announcement is part of a broader momentum of cooperation between the Côte d’Azur and Canada. In February 2026, Team Nice Côte d’Azur hosted in Nice more than 50 international decision-makers as part of the AI Business Tour led by risingSUD, with a strong presence of Canadian companies. Team Nice Côte d’Azur is represented by Stefano Cimmarusti, Head of Project Development and Cadre mondial du Canada (CMC) appointed by the Canadian government, whose commitment helps structure bilateral exchanges. This relationship was also reflected in May 2026 by the participation of a Canadian delegation in the Cinema Tour co-organized with risingSUD during the Cannes Film Festival. With this new Toronto – Nice route, direct accessibility between the two territories reaches a new milestone, benefiting economic, investment and tourism flows.
