Vertech Group is an environnemental engineering company focused on environmental and social impacts of new products and processes. Vertech Group is managing engineering projects in France and  Europe, in Africa and recently in India as well.

Could you introduce yourself please ?

I’m Antonio Barona, a civil engineer from Colombia. I did my Masters degree in Spain where I lived in Madrid for seven years. Initially I did a Masters on Innovation in the Construction sector then I did a Masters on Project Management and an MBA. I worked in many years in consulting in Spain then I decided to join up with friends to set-up my own engineering company.

We started at the beginning of the year 2012 and moved to the Côte d’Azur 2 or 3 years ago.

Why did you choose to settle in the Côte d’Azur region?

We chose the Côte d’Azur because we knew that we could reach our target market here: small innovative companies and public organizations that we can help during the early stages of the production so that their products, technologies or processes are environment-friendly.

Right now we are around 10 people in Nice and we also have a team of 6 people in Madrid.

We’ve grown quite well since we arrived here and we’re happy to be on the Côte d’Azur surrounded by public structures that can support us and our activities.
