Business Real Estate
The Côte d’Azur is resuming major development projects and has one of the largest offers of commercial real estate under construction in a business district (outside Paris).
In the next 5 years, some 150,000 m2 of office space set to international norms will be built, with nearly as much planned for the 5 years thereafter. This places the Côte d’Azur as one of the leading offers outside of Paris for commercial real estate within business districts.
The year 2006 saw the launch in Nice’s Arénas business district of two real estate developments totaling 35,000 m2 of international quality office space.
The 1st initial lot for development of the future Nice Méridia business district was allotted by the Nice Côte d’Azur Urban Authority to the COGEDIMCAPRI-ICADE consortium
- 28,500 m2 of commercial space
- 16,800 m2 of residential construction
North-West of Nice, the Plaine du Var area is about to undergo rapid transformation as part of an Operation of National Interest launched in March 2007.
The Côte d’Azur is a French metropolis offering the best incentives to investors.
A “PAT” regional incentive package for companies setting up business in the territory of the Plaine du Var has been approved for the period of 2007-2013. This package applies to new sites or site expansions, involving both manufacturing operations and centralized administrative activities and including HQ functions.
Nice will be one of the French metropolitan areas eligible for the
PAT incentive package covering new sites and site expansions for the entire period of 2007-2013.
Moreover, a PAT incentive package for R&D sites remains available in Sophia Antipolis and within the whole Alpes-Maritimes department.
Finally, the offer of locations for business activity will be boosted by the designation of the Plaine du Var development within the Operation of National Interest (OIN) procedures, as well as by the new mixed management board of the Sophia Antipolis science park (SYMISA).
