Renowned for international events such as the Cannes Film Festival with its worldwide media coverage, the Côte d’Azur ranks as one of the world’s top ten destinations for Business Tourism. One out of every five visitors comes here for “business” or “congress” purposes. About 2 million business trips are made to the region every year, for meetings, professional contacts, visits to suppliers or customers. Almost 20% of all visits are for a congress, seminar or colloquium, representing some 500,000 non-resident participants per year.

Easy access: Nice Côte d’Azur Airport, ranked among the world’s "Top 100" and France’s busiest international airport after Paris, with 56% of total traffic to/from international destinations and annual capacity attaining 12.5 million passengers. Cannes-Mandelieu Airport, France’s 2nd busiest airport for private planes and business tourism, a strategic platform to welcome VIPs. The region is well equipped with a dense network of roads and large arteries and with frequent trains handling 10 million passengers a year. The deployment of helicopter transport has also grown to attain 100,000 passengers a year; Monaco-Nice is the world’s busiest connection proposing 70 trips per day.
